How can you afford to give away such expensive prizes?
Rather than advertising on TV or in magazines, many companies choose to pay a bounty for sending potential customers to them. We receive a commission every time an offer is completed and tracked and we use these funds to pay for the prizes sent to YOU-our users.
Will I get lots of spam from signing up to your site specifically?
No. We may email you from time to time, but we will not sell or share your email address with any unauthorized party. Our advertisers can have different ways of doing business. It is critical that you read their privacy policies when considering an offer.
Can I sign up for your site if I live outside the United States?
To an extent, Yes. We are open to United States, Canada, Austraila, and United Kingdom residents only, other countries cannot participate. We are limited to our gift options for Canada, Austrailia and United Kingdom, please contact support about your gift.
Can I sign up again for the same site?
No, but you can sign up for each of our sites once using the same email address.
Explanation: If you sign-up at AppleProducts.Git-R-Free.com with email "firstname.lastname@example.org" that becomes your network-wide email address account for all our sites. After signing up for one site in order to sign-up for more you simply go to the site, choose a gift, enter your same email address (email@example.com) and press Continue, it will prompt you for your password because it finds your email in our system, simply enter your password from your previous Git-R-Free account and you can then proceed with the requirements to earn your free gift.
What information about me will you collect?
We record your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, birthday, and IP address. This information enables us to send you a prize. It also helps us prevent fraud. We do not collect any credit card information that you submit to our Advertisers. Advertisers that require a credit card to complete an offer never share that information with us nor do we have access to it.
If I am under 18 years of age can I participate?
No. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
Can I close my account?
No. In order to prevent users from creating multiple accounts we do not delete or close accounts. If you sign up and then decide not to participate, you can just stop using our site, but be sure to "un-check" the box to receive future emails and newsletters if you do not want to be part of those mailings. You an also open a support ticket and request we put your account on hold.
Advertiser Offer Questions
What can I do to help ensure I receive credit for an offer I participate in?
Some of the offers require a credit card to sign up. Do you get that information from them?
No. The advertisers do not share any information about you with us. We only receive a report that says we were credited for the offer.
How do you know I was the one who signed up for an offer if the advertiser does not share any of my personal information?
We have a unique tracking id number associated with your user number in all of the offer links. Our advertisers track that number and when an offer is reported to us as a sale, they tell us the tracking id number that was in the original link from your click.
I have two referrals who have each completed a half-credit offer. Does that count as one referral with a full credit?
No. Each specific user needs to complete the entire preset offer requirements for the site to be counted as a completed referral.
Can I transfer offer credits or referrals between sites?
No. Each site is operated separately when it comes to offer credits and referrals.
What happens if I do more offers than I need.
There is no benefit to you for completing additional offers, but this will not disqualify you if that happens.
What do I do if I have questions about a specific offer?
Contact the advertiser directly. You might also want to refer to the Federal Trade Commission's Guide to Trial Offers. If you have any other concerns you could check the advertisers stats with the national BBB registry. However do not contact and advertiser about offer crediting issues as per the terms and conditions on our site.
Gift Completion Requirements
What do I do when I have completed the requirements?
Log in and submit your order. First we'll verify that you and your referrals complied with our Terms and Conditions. Once approved your order will automatically be processed for the next gift shipment.
How long does it take to verify my account?
We verify accounts within five business days.
When will I receive my prize?
Gift shipments are handled every week. Shipment times may vary depending on vendors and any delays they may incur. If you are participating in our cash only rewards site (paypal payments) please see the section in the terms and conditions about your first order placed with us. If you are outside of the United States and are placing an order for a physical item please contact support to confirm your order and clear up any questions.
What does it mean if an account is placed on "red" hold?
If a user violates our Terms of Service, we place their account on hold. A user whose account is on hold may not place an order. Also, accounts that are on hold do not count as a valid referral. If one of your referrals was placed on hold, your account is not affected however that referral is unable to count towards your referral requirements.
What does it mean if an account is placed on "blue" hold?
If a user does not pass our fraud prevention checks or simply does not pass approval for some other reason a temporary "blue" hold will be placed on their account until they provide the documentation and/or information requested by the Git-R-Free Support Team.
If I am placed on hold on one site, can I sign up on another?
No. If you are placed on hold on one of our sites this is retroactive to your accounts on the rest of our sites in the network. If you are in this position, it is best to contact us via support as depending on the circumstances there may be an option to lift the hold on your account.
My account was placed on hold for suspicious user information, what can I do?
If your account did not pass the order approval process due to suspicious information, fraudulent information etc, we require the user to submit valid proof of their user information that was submitted to us upon initial sign-up. This normally requires a State/Province Issued ID and recent utility bill on our ID approval form which can be found here. This type of hold is recognized as a "blue" hold.
Are there any restrictions on the prizes I can get?
Some. There are a couple of basic restrictions. 1) You can only place an order for a gift under $600 value unless you submit a W9 form. If you receive $600 or more in prizes from us in a single calendar year we are required to have you fill out and submit a W-9 form to us. You can download the form from the IRS's website: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf To avoid delays in receiving your prize you can file this form with us prior to placing an order. There is no limit to the number of orders you can place on each of our sites. Once you have placed an order you simply seek more referrals and work towards another gift. We are restricted to the types of gifts we can ship to the following countries: Canada, Austrailia, and United Kingdom. Please contact support about your gift if you are from one of these countries.
How do I get Referrals?
When you sign up you are given a unique referral link. Give this link to your friends, family, and anyone else you think might be interested. Some websites allow users to post links like this and others don't. Before posting your link on a website, make sure it is allowed. If we receive complaints of a user "spamming" their link, we are required to place that user on hold. We have setup a sister-site to help users find and seek out referrals online, please check it out here: http://www.ReferralSwapper.com
